CMT designed Missouri’s first multi-lane turbo roundabouts along Route 160 to improve safety and capacity. Partnering with MoS&T, driver simulation research ensured the design addressed behavior and safety concerns. The project reduced crashes and fatalities by widening the highway, adding pedestrian access, and implementing innovative intersections like J-Turns and CGTs.
